Creating a thumbnail for 3D overlays

In order for a 3D Overlay to be accepted for uploading by the Studio, your .tar file must contain a thumbnail; a thumbnail is used to represent your 3d scene once it has been upload to the Studio.

The steps to create a thumbnail is as follows:

  • Create a 256x256 pixels image, (you can do this in Photoshop or in your graphic editor software of choice)
    • The image should contain a representation of your 3D scene, in order to help you distinguish this overlay from others in the studio 
  • Once you are happy with the image you are creating, save it in .png format and name it thumbnail
    • Ensure that the word 'thumbnail' does not contain any capital letters
